Parables

If the Prodigal Son's a parable, and if Adam and Eve are metaphors, then maybe God is just figure of speech.

~ Dan Barker

Parables are everywhere. We eat, sleep, live lives rich in parables to the extreme that truth is often ignored. Someone was killed today, but I must ask: "Can the ego, or an ego die?" If we look at the earth and consider it a living organism; then, we can be looked at as ego's within it--in it's parable, ego's within the human being. In popular scriptures it states that we have these entities within our psyche, and some scriptures call them demons, devils or what some of us like to say: "ego." I'm pretty sure that all of here have seen or heard of zombie movies. We see these zombies walking around looking for brains to snack on. In it's parable people are walking around, and they look alive to us but they are not. What they are doing is making clones of themselves by trying to get us to argue with them, putting mess on the tv and other media etc. Zombies are also related to the symbolism of vampires, in which they do the exact same thing.

Without the sun, there would be an extreme lack of light and life. The sun does not care what we do or think; it just is. The sun is the light of the world, and from our direct experiences we can use the parable that it dies and resurrects each and everyday. Let me ask you: "Is the sun your sun or my sun?" It doesn't belong to anyone of us; therefore, it must be God's Sun. Those in power are still in power right now because they know these things, while the masses suffer from a lack of knowledge; stuck in boxes full of parables.

Our bodies go to sleep at night or take naps during the day, but being awake and being asleep are even parables. Either we're walking around asleep thinking we're awake, (we've heard of sleep walking) we're awake or we're waking up. With knowing things come great responsibilities, and sub-consciously i'm think most do not want those responsibilities. I'm telling you: "it is much much easier to just stay asleep."

A cemetery or graveyard are just parables. We've heard of a man going around raising the dead, which can be found in popular doctrine. Most may think this man went around putting life into dead bodies, but in the real world; this man was waking folks up.

The body that I have is a Porsche. I drive it every day, going to work and returning home. But dammit, every time I go back home to rest, people always seem to put my car in a casket and start crying. It's only my car and had nothing to do with who or what I am.
